Welcome to 70 x 7 Life Recovery

“The steady growth of imprisonment in America over the past generation has created an unprecedented challenge for our society; the reintegration of thousands of individuals who have spent time in our prisons. Just as the rate of incarceration in America has increased fourfold, the number of people leaving prison each year has also quadrupled.
But They All Come Back: Facing the Challenges
of Prisoner Re-entry

As we have embarked upon one of the greatest social experiments of our time—the expansive use of prisons as our response to crime—we have forgotten the iron law of imprisonment: they all come back. Except for those few individuals who die in custody, every person we send to prison returns to live with us.”
Jeremy Travis, The Urban Institute Press

Today 70 x 7 partners with community churches and area businesses to walk alongside and support men and women coming back to communities and families from jail/prison and with persons overcoming addictions. Those systems include relational support and programs to sustain mentoring and transitional living programs, employment services, addiction recovery, and leadership.

"With more than two million people serving time in our federal and state prisons, sooner or later, the vast majority‚ 95 percent will be released. Many of these offenders will re-enter our communities with insufficient monitoring, little or no job training, insufficient housing, and deficit basic life skills. -Senator Joseph Biden
